The Extraordinary Within the Familiar
My work begins with curiosity: a drop of water, a curl of smoke, the texture of a weathered surface, or a night sky overhead. Through constructed fine art photography and mixed media, I explore fleeting moments, transformation, texture and light. I invite you to look closer at what might otherwise pass unnoticed.
I physically create these scenes in front of the camera using light, color, optics, timing, and ordinary materials to discover forms I could not fully predict. The photographs are not generated by artificial intelligence or digitally fabricated. They are created in camera, with processing intended to refine what I captured rather than reinvent it. The extraordinary you see existed, however briefly, in front of my lens.
